In order to achieve USPS Automation rate discounts, all First-Class mail must meet USPS Move Update requirements. USPS developed an MLOCR based FASTforward to allow users of MLOCRs to meet the Move Update Requirement.

WinSort COMPASS meets USPS Move Update requirements by allowing MLOCR users to check mail run thru a sorter against the USPS FASTforward move update database. User controls allow the mailing to receive updated addresses or for mail that should not be forwarded, any mailpiece that has a name and address corresponding to a move update file can be "culled" and sorted to a specific bin. Additionally, FASTforward Move Update Notification (FFMUN) allows mail owners to create an account with USPS and receive address move update information for mail that receives a positive match from FASTforward.
