PureVISION is reader management software that performs image lift, optical character recognition (OCR) through single or multiple OCR engines and address lookup. The PureVISION multi-line optical character recognition (MLOCR) solution is designed to be configured to a specific company’s mail stream to achieve the highest possible read rates.

Being able to pick and choose from all the complementary OCR engines offered by PureVISION, you are able to choose the combination that meets your needs and budget. Maximize your investment by selecting the MLOCR combination most suitable to your mail stream. Multiple and complementary readers outperform single OCR readers.

BÖWE BELL + HOWELL now offers SABRE and SABRE Prime as optional MLOCR offerings to new or existing PureVISION users. Additionally, BÖWE BELL + HOWELL has expanded Parascript’s optional Parascript AddressScript OCR to include machine print recognition where previously only handprint recognition was available.

• AddressScript from Parascript LLC. Unlike the other OCR options, this is a pay-as-you-use feature. AddressScript returns results on each mailpiece, but the result is only used if the other primary OCR engines do not return a result. In this way customers only pay for the mailpieces that would have been rejected without AddressScript
